Terms of Service — Road Signs EE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Road Signs EE mobile application (“the App”), provided by Evgeny Drobyshev, operating as Base Hangar Works (“we,” “us,” “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

1. What Road Signs EE is — and isn’t

Road Signs EE is an educational self-study tool to help you learn and practice recognizing Estonian and EU road signs.

Please read this carefully:

• The App is a training and memory aid only. It is not a substitute for a licensed driving school, a certified driving instructor, or official study material from Estonia’s Road Administration (Transpordiamet) or any equivalent authority.
• We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any driving theory exam, obtaining any license, or achieving any particular score. Your results depend on many things outside our control — your own study, the accuracy and currency of official exam material (which can change independently of the App), and factors specific to you.
• The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any government transport authority, licensing body, or official examination service, in Estonia or elsewhere.
• We make a genuine effort to keep sign images and descriptions accurate, but road traffic rules can change, and we can’t guarantee the App is fully current with the legally binding version of the traffic code at any given moment. Always verify against official, current sources before relying on this for an actual exam or driving decisions.

2. Who can use the App

Road Signs EE is intended for people learning to drive — generally teenagers and adults — and isn’t designed or marketed for young children.

3. Accounts

The App doesn’t require an account.

4. Purchases and partner discount codes

• One sign category is free to try, so you can explore how Learn and Quiz modes work before deciding to buy. A single non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks full access to all remaining categories.
• If you’ve already purchased full access on the same Google account, you can restore it on a new or reinstalled copy of the App using the “Restore Purchases” option — you won’t be charged again.
• We partner with driving schools who may give their students a discount code. Entering a valid code may unlock full access at a discounted price through Google Play Billing.
• Partner driving schools are independent third parties — not our employees, agents, or representatives. We’re not responsible for the quality, availability, pricing, or any other aspect of the driving lessons or services those schools separately provide. Our role is limited to distributing discount codes for use inside the App.
• All payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your payment card details.

5. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

• Purchases go through Google Play, and Google’s own refund policies apply — see Google Play’s Help Center for how to request a refund through Google.
• Google Play Billing acts as merchant of record for these transactions — Google, not us, processes your payment, handles the refund transaction itself, and (where applicable) collects and remits VAT. Please direct payment and refund requests to Google first.
• Under EU consumer law, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. By completing a purchase in the App, you acknowledge that full access is granted to you immediately, and you expressly consent to this immediate delivery — which means you lose your right of withdrawal once the purchase completes and access is granted, consistent with the standard treatment of immediately-delivered digital content under EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
• Beyond Google’s own refund channel and any consumer-protection right that can’t be waived, we don’t separately guarantee refunds — but contact us at basehangarworks@gmail.com if something has genuinely gone wrong, and we’ll consider it in good faith.

6. Intellectual property

The App’s design, software, and original content (excluding official road sign designs themselves, which are defined by public traffic law and not our intellectual property) belong to us or our licensors. You’re granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or resell the App or its content.

7. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including — to the extent the law allows — implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App — including, without limitation, failing an exam, any driving-related incident, or loss of data.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or €0 if you’ve made no purchase).
• Nothing here excludes or limits liability that can’t be excluded under applicable law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer-protection rights that can’t be waived.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. If we make a material change, the App will prompt you to review and accept the updated Terms the next time you open it.

10. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App or any part of its service at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your own EU country of residence grants you rights that can’t be waived.
